Mr. Young began his services in Holmes County as Deputy Engineer in 2001, and became County Engineer in 2003. He constantly evaluates the department's operations for ways to better the County Highway Department and welcomes public input. During the past six years he has made efficiency and daily operations his top priority. Since revenues aren’t keeping pace with costs, he has relied on securing more grant funding and will continue seeking and securing these funds.

As County Engineer he feels it is important to maintain a safe, quality roadway system for the people of Holmes County and the many visitors that are attracted to our beautiful community.
